When you have politics mixing in with military discipline, what could go wrong. It's not like we're in a war, rather just some conflict that President Trump sees ending soon.
He's going to address the nation Wednesday evening (It is 5:00 PM Wednesday as I pen this). Hopefully the public won't be distracted by the first moon launch in 53 years, and save their attention for President Trump. He's mad at NATO because they haven't come to our defense, but that's because we weren't attacked.
ADDENDUM 9:20PM: A delusional speech by a blowhard. If you're a Republican incumbent, such as our Ryan Mackenzie, and you don't open your mouth now, happy trails to you.
The oil prices went up more than 6% after the speech, time for the Trump "I did that" stickers to be places at the pumps. We might all be going back to the Stone Age and be propelling our cars like Fred Flintstone.

SO, there is two possibilities: Either he doesn't think that this administration is a clown show, or he is betting that Trump can pull him through another election.

I have been publishing less and less comments...I have lost patience with repetitive terms, such as "juvenile" and "TDS". As for alternatives, there is a contested Democratic upcoming primary. Although I don't know who will win, I suspect that person will be the next 7th District representative.

Like him or loath him his impact on domestic and foreign policy has been huge.
Trump ran the table in the last election, won the Blue Wall, took the swing states, won the Electoral College and the popular vote.
All in all an absolutely remarkable feat.
At the moment Trump is partnering with our Middle Eastern allies to insure that Iran and its proxies won’t be killing any more Americans and destabilizing the entire region.
Trump walks the walk where establishment politicians talked.
The southern border is secure, dicks are out of women’s sports and girls locker rooms and military recruitment is up.
