Is Trump's Moron Cabinet Intentional?

With Hegseth again threatening Mark Kelly with charges about revealing publicly know information about weapon stockpiles, I wonder if Trump's mediocre appointments are intentional? In term one he started off with highly qualified help, only to have them reveal how impulsive and uninformed their boss was.

Nobody could accuse Trump of tapping expertise for this second round. Some of the appointments, like Kennedy, are tragically comical. Although two novices have been ousted, we're in a war with a Fox News host leading a Department of War.

Trump's ego has progressed into a clinical stage. Perhaps the amateur cabinet was a subconscious attempt to make sure that he looks informed compared to his advisors. I feel sorry for the Republicans having to defend this administration. Here on the blog the best they can cite is the day one border closing, and that their daughters aren't confronted with transgenders in the gym class.

Where was all this hysteria through the Bush (Chaney), Obama, Biden/Harris, years. I guess those years - just to only mention the 20 years of lies and monumental failures and estimated FOUR TRILLION DOLLARS for the ultimate collapse of Afghanistan, Kabul, culminating in the slaughter of the 13 young Americans at the Abbby Gate and the drone attack retaliation that wiped out an entire totally innocent family and fleeing Afghans falling out of departing aircraft and Taliban subsequent victory, as one indicator - simpl didn’t disturb the current group of people sequestered around MOLOVINSKY on ALLENTOWN like

Oh how we long for the days as the Presidential Son Hunter was the chief energy consultant and Joe Biden with his trusty Lt. Victoria Nuland were handeling all things Ukraine and various transsexuals and cross dressers held important positions in the administration along with the occasionally missing Army General.
Oh, but how did we manage to focus on Allentown (I am a native there) and avoid the hysteria that roils among us today?

Okay, it’s late. I am done reading Grants autograph for now, and it’s time to finally get some sleep. I have significant transplanting, two large flats of vincas, to accomplish in tomorrow’s heat. All the many vincas were lost in the high brackish storm surges of Milton and Helene, back to back events I don’t wish to recall.

I guess that have to leave my name to spare Mike, his readers, and myself ,the obligatory rant on annon comments. I don’t think I have the stamina to actually read today’s post.
Im ready to get called “Mr. Adams”
as Michael does when he is about to scold me.
    Forgive me.
    Warm wishes to all.

    1. Yes, the corrupt Washington is not new, Trump may be just reigning over the culminating of this all these decades of corruption. it seems he has signed on to the Agenda.

    2. It does seem that Trump has really no cabinet, He is attempting to run things all by himself. They are, in effect, just errand boys. The sad part is he cannot run this show all alone and he has now blundered into a fatal war in Iran.
He has lost his vision for the future and succumbed to the machinations of his enemies. They have trapped him and he has no way out.
Whether he has accepted their plans for the future or just thought he could outsmart them doesn't matter, he has made the choices and his presidency will now be out of his control.
I suspect we are in for a dramatic change in the world order and the U.S. 's corruption will not be reversed. We are all going to suffer in the future.
Blaming just Trump is easy, but this story has been underway for decades.

    3. Yes, blaming Trump is the easy way out for those who have inadequate understanding of the issues sovereign nations face. The corruption in American politics, its CIA, FBI, other agencies, and a compromised news media has been building for decades and now, too obvious to hide.

In essence, average citizens are now seen merely as “something in the way” by those who believe in globalism for personal gain.

  3. Mr. Adams@3:24: You need not worry about Biden escaping blame, your Trump takes care of that every day. Of course he also reminds us that the 2020 election was stolen from him, and that it was patriots protesting on Jan. 6.
As we both know, Allentown got plenty of scrutiny from this blog during the Pawlowski era, more than from anywhere else, including the Morning Call.
As a one man band, I post about what irritates me most at the time, and at this time it is Trump.

  7. So let me get this straight.

The previous Secretary of Defense looked like he had a lifetime pass for any buffet in the country; threw some of our best service people out because they wouldn’t get an ineffective, untested shot; went missing for a week without informing anyone where he would be; and left billions of dollars of military equipment behind during the botched withdrawal in Afghanistan. But he was apparently qualified for the job , according to you.

Hegseth takes over, mandates merit as the sole criteria for promotions and positions, and refocuses the military on actually fighting wars. This results in the service branches reaching their recruiting goals for the first time in years; the US military taking Venezuela in a matter of hours; and decimating Iran’s conventional military with American loss of life in the low teens.

But Hegseth is the incompetent moron according to you?

I think you should head back to grade school to re-learn the actual meanings of those words. You’ve either forgotten their meanings or are going senile in your old age.

  8. anon@12:41: Fortunately, we never engaged Iran's conventional military. New reports indicate that their missile capacity has not been significantly degraded....that is why Netanyahu is upset.

Hegseth did have to replace upper staff who balked at the killings in the Caribbean. We have successfully pirated the Venezuelan oil industry.

Hegseth has made tight men's suits fashionable, but not for Trump. In regard to my education and senility, you read me.

  9. Anonymous May 13, 2026 at 12:41 PM said left billions of dollars of military equipment behind during the botched withdrawal in Afghanistan

This statement is why I quit arguing after repeating time after time... The equipment was worn out after 10 years of war. Plus it would be more expensive to bring it back then it was worth. In addition you can see numerous videos on YouTube where we stripped down or ripped out anything useful especially on the aircraft since they can't find or make replacement parts. The humvees we did leave behind were gifted to the so-called Afghan Army we spent millions training to use against the Taliban. Instead these assholes sold it to the Taliban for a quick buck. I watched numerous explanations by soldiers themselves the only reason Afghans people signed up was because their country sucks and they got housing a good meals. Soldiers forced to embed Afghans wouldn't even let them carry fire arms in camp they so distrusted them but were forced to do it.

Again (for the 100th time) Trump set that deadline for withdrawal. Biden extended the deadline and still most refused to leave when told to for months.

Now Hegseth wants $1.5 billion (double the previous pentagon budget) in a no win situation with an another country (Iran) just as it was with Vietnam. This while our country continues to go down hill on every measurable social need in this country. Government for the people (NOT). It's now government for the government full stop.

This is why I'm not posting new stuff because of shit like this I've explained time after time and so many of you useful idiots bring it up again and again. I'm exhausted from it. Think what you want!!!

  10. LVCI - You’re wrong.

What was left behind included thousands of radios, night vision goggles, rifles, pistols, machine guns, body armor and thousands of vehicles, including over 24,000 Humvees.

In addition, biometric devices were left behind that had the fingerprints, eye scans and biographical information of those who helped us over the 20 years of our involvement there.

Even if one were to believe your attempt to minimize the fiasco, you admit to the decision to leave behind the (24,000+) Humvees. You claim that it was left behind for the Afghan Army, who quickly sold it. Anyone could have foreseen that happening. That failure alone should be enough to prove the incompetence of the prior military leadership under the Biden administration, especially since (as you note) the Biden administration EXTENDED the deadline for the Afghanistan withdrawal.

In addition, your post does NOT include an explanation as to why all those other vehicles, helicopters and weaponry wasn’t instead blown in place before leaving; why Baghram air base was closed prior to the evacuation in Kabul (at the Kabul airport) being completed (which ended up costing 13 service members their lives); or why the runways on the air base itself weren’t destroyed so they would be of no future use to the Taliban or their Chinese allies.

Again, all thanks to the incompetence of the military leadership under the prior administration, which was the point of my comment.

You’re simply believing (and regurgitating) the lies that those who left the equipment behind have told. YOU are the useful idiot. Wake up!

    1. Thanks, 4:41, for posting a more realistic interpretation about what that withdrawal included. People are much too quick to jump all over something they’ve read or heard that fits their own narrative.

The key, I suppose, is to hope armchair pundits become MORE well-read and informed before spouting off on a strictly political motivation.

  11. anon@5:49, glad you could compliment your earlier comment at 4:41. Some day I aspire to allow no comments. Neither Biden, nor Trump for that matter, will be on the ballot in 26 and 28. I believe that in 2030, you will be hoping for those good old days you're enjoying now.

  12. Sorry, I (5:49) did NOT submit that 4:41 comment, but surely do respect its educational value.

So, what’s stopping you from prohibiting all comments? It’s your publication, after all. A no comment blog would absolutely give you more personal comfort.

I can agree, by 2030, we will all be looking back to these better days. By then, our Legislative Branch (now a uniParty) could well have pushed aside every one of the “little people” back home. You see, President Trump is not the fundamental problem facing this nation today, it’s a corrupt House and Senate.

I’m voting against any politician who has already been in place for more than 4 years. WE NEED DIFFERENT PEOPLE IN OFFICE !
