The Principles First recent convention was far from standing room only. Supposedly even the reduced amount of chairs put out weren't filled. This group was started by Republicans who did not support Trump, or Never Trumpers, if you will. Does this mean that these people have seen the light and are again in the Trump fold? Not at all.
I think that Republicans opposed to Trump have only increased, but Trump and his minions are exhausting. Take the tariff ruling. Does Trump consider his illegal tariffs illegal, no way....He just will impose them under a different code, until that then is successfully challenged.
What his minions don't get is that he doesn't care about long term damage inflicted upon Republicans. Short of being impeached, he could care less about what happens to Republicans, including those sycophants in his administration.
“What his minions don't get is that he doesn't care about long term damage inflicted upon Republicans.”
ReplyDeleteBecause obviously you care sooooo much about republicans. You wouldn't be registered as an Independent and be willing to make unhinged rant after unhinged rant otherwise.
Seriously, the “logic” displayed in your post is amazing. If the Supreme Court makes a decision that Trump imposed a tariff the wrong way, ANY way he’d impose a tariff must be wrong. If a Never Trump event is packed, it means that the everyone hates Trump. If nobody shows up to a Never Trump event, it means… well, in your mind, that everyone hates Trump.
I realize that self-reflection is impossible when you’re in such a state, but I think many of your readers agree that you’ve gone off the deep end.
Come to think of it, I’m writing this myself. So that must mean that everyone agrees with me. Hey, never mind. I like how this works!
You are totally infatuated with the Orange One.
DeleteGroovy.
anon@12:24: Enjoy your day...Between the 12hr programming on the Truth channels, and the speech tonight, you'll have a lot more talking points.
ReplyDeleteOK, then. I’ll put you down as NOT voting for Trump in 2028. Good to know.
DeleteI will probably wait until the next morning to view the State of the Union and read the transcript. But, it would be fun to watch the Democrats in attendance protest, boo, whistle, hold thumbs down signs, turn their backs, wear the same attire, refuse to applaud at appropriate times like when our Olympic champion champions are introduced, etc. You know, all the usual childish behavior that political party is known for. Nancy Pelosi and Chuck Schumer will no doubt approve of all the shameful antics.
DeleteI don’t have time for 12hr programming from anyone. I’ll wait for you to give me the recaps, as you seem to have the time to take in every little detail from whoever is feeding it to you.
DeleteDon’t miss the Democrat rebuttal. That should be a real assortment of half-truths, exaggerations, and with a few outright lies.
DeletetRUMP will be solely responsible for the coming blue wave
ReplyDeleteEither Vance or Rubio, you choose, one way or the other it’s gonna be a slam dunk.
DeleteI suspect the state of the union will just be another Trump rally with our congressman getting his exercise by standing up and sitting down. I won’t watch the whole thing. We’ve seen it all before. It’s rather predictable. An 80 year old man babbling about how he doesn’t receive credit for all he’s done and how everything he touches is an accomplishment. Like ending all the wars, saving us from Europe, keeping Minneapolis safe, tariffs for everyone, etc. His healthcare reform, which is do nothing, just let people buy their own, May come up, but it might not because that’s a hard sell for republican congressmen back in the home districts. But still, there’s Epstein and it’s catching up to the British folks and getting closer…
ReplyDeleteanon@12:13: I doubt that I could stand to watch more than five minutes. I believe that any Republican congressman hoping that Trump can "sell" their party to anyone other than those already "invested", is in for a rude awakening. In a year he has lost many more votes than he can ever recover at this point.
ReplyDeleteWhere in the world are you getting your information?
Deleteanon@12:41: By almost all polls, Trump's approval rating is down 9 points from before the election.
ReplyDeleteThanks, but all polls are easy to skew in whatever direction the purchaser desires. My personal observations indicate Trump is still as popular as ever. But, he’s not even a candidate, so does this even matter longer term? I say, no.
Deleteanon@1:52: Republican congressmen, especially freshman who won on Trump's coat-tails, will be reassured by your observations.
ReplyDeleteAs I’ve stated here before, I’d be OK if every Member of Congress loses their seat. As for Trump’s popularity, here’s my logic.
DeleteFederal taxes on everyone are now lower.
Inflation has been reduced.
Securing our borders is still appreciated.
People do not like cheaters.
Removing illegal entrants is popular.
He (Trump) doesn’t take any sh*t from anyone. Men like that.
He’s a huge sports fan.
People want a strong military.
Patriotism is still relevant.
Requiring a real ID to vote is desired.
The reputation of network media sucks
America is still a majority Christian nation.
The Democrat message offers nothing more than “hate Trump.”
I know, I know.
anon@2:23: I hesitated to print your nonsense, so don't reply
ReplyDeleteSecuring our borders is his single accomplishment
He is the most corrupt president in history, going beyond insider information to insider deals.
Wow, you’ve really lost it. Why don’t you explain just one example of how you think he is corrupt? Come on, make your case. Give it your best shot.
DeleteI’d love to read the mental gymnastics you’d have to go through to make a semi-coherent argument.
You are so blinded by irrational hate that you don’t realize how stupid you look on a daily basis.
So he’s gone full strength into demonizing democrats but it really doesn’t work. Calling them crazy is just schoolyard name calling and doesn’t really work. Calling democrats “pro-crime” doesn’t work either. His state of the Union is just divisive.
ReplyDeleteWhen you’re unfairly attacked by radical Democrats as much as Trump has been, you answer back. Stand your ground, willing to engage them even on their terms.
DeleteNext, watch them scurry off and try to hide. We see that right here, for goodness sake.
So far (10:30) the State of the Union has been remarkably successful.
ReplyDeleteEat your heart out MM.
This State of the Union is bringing me to tears.
ReplyDeleteFeel free to attack me now.
Your old friend and frequent collaborator,

Mr. Adams@10:55 &anon@6:43: suffice to say that you(s) enjoyed Trump's speech more than me. I will be posting my reactions on Friday.
