Trump Says The Buck Doesn't Stop Here

Toward the end of WW2, Harry Truman was famous for saying that the "the buck stops here"...Meaning that he takes ultimate responsibility for what was happening in his administration. In the Trump world, he only does the best the world has ever seen. The attack in Venezuela was the best the world ever saw, until last week, when the attack on Iran was the best the world has ever seen. This guy makes history every ten minutes.

My ultra conservative readers accuse me of succumbing to TDS. I'm afraid for them, that most of the world has also contracted the condition. I suspect come November, we'll find that the disease has also spread to the USA.

Truman was fighting a war forced upon us. Trump is fighting wars that he started. Truman was surrounded by the best people he could assemble. Trump only wants ring and rump kissers. When the weather breaks, the streets will be clogged with protesters. The Republican sycophants will claim that the protesters are being paid to be there. Outside my low rent office inland from the Space Coast, which was pure Trump country, the protests have begun.

  1. From AP: “This is Donald Trump, hopefully your favorite president of all time, better than Lincoln, better than Washington,” Trump said in a video introducing “Trump digital trading cards” in December 2022, shortly after announcing his third run for the presidency." I believe in TDS, as in Trump and his supporters who have TDS (Trump Delusionary Syndrome). "Delusionary (adjective) describes beliefs or ideas that are false, irrational, or not based on reality, often marked by persistent delusion despite evidence to the contrary. It is synonymous with "delusional" or "hallucinatory" and is frequently used to describe unrealistic, paranoid, or mentally disordered thinking"

  2. I don't care about TDS, I just think your blog got boring, it's the same stuff every day. Your blog, your call. Just my opinion.

Also, with all the shenanigans Josh Siegel is pulling, and the fact that everyone is angry at him (Ds and Rs alike) there is a lot of local material that you've done such a good job covering. There's a gap now, no one is covering it.

  3. anon@1:50: I suspect if my recent posts were focused against national Democrats, you would find it less "boring" :).
While I follow local news carefully, for we who are not Republican sycophants, these are trying times nationally.
Locally, we have a progressive city and county government. I suggest you cultivate some right of center Democratic candidates. Your readership is appreciated, but not essential for my continued blogging.

    1. Actually I find it all boring. And not sure why you resort to insults right away? That's weak. Also, As I said before, your blog your call. I don't think I'm essential to you at all, I just miss having someone cover local Lehigh County issues. Bernie does occasionally but he's more Northampton County.

For example, Josh Siegel's media relations department set up a Substack. First thing that happens when you subscribe is he asks for a campaign donation. Not required, but he asks anyway. That's sleazy, and potentially illegal if he's using county resources for his political campaign, no matter what his party is. You used to call things like that out. I miss the old blog and attention to issues like that is all I'm saying.

  4. I think it’s time for some honesty here, Michael.

You’re actually in Florida for some big fundraiser at Mar-a-Lago, aren’t you?
