Yesterday, Eric Trump was presenting plans of the proposed library for his father. DeSantis was renaming the Palm Beach airport for Trump. The library would be the tallest building in Miami, perhaps 47 stories tall. I seriously doubt that Trump ever read 47 books.
While my economy cable package does not provide the American standards like CNN or Fox, I do get the European stations. Let's just say that there is nobody in the world envious of our leadership. Between the East Wing ballroom and the proposed Arc, the self admiration is unprecedented. If we weren't bombing Iran, and if gasoline wasn't over $4 a gallon, it might be more amusing, but as things stand, it is just pathological.
The narcissism is one thing, the war is another. Trump can change his mind three times a day, or fifteen times a week, but those suffering loses in Tehran will have long memories, generational memories. Trump didn't understand why he didn't get the Nobel Peace Prize last year. I don't think he is going to get it next year either.
Let us offer a heartfelt boo hoo hoo for those in Tehran. All together now: FAFO. 47 years of terrorism, ended by Number 47. Watch tonight!
ReplyDeleteOur foreign policy is formed by Sociopaths and administered by Psychopaths, While I dont put Trump into those categories, it is evident in the rhetoric of Lindsey Graham, Pete Hegseth, Netanyahu and Ben Gavir. Trump just doesn't have the moral foundation to reign them in. It is his war and it is unlikely to come to a good end.
ReplyDeleteI am not a psychiatrist so i can't desccribe one from another. However, it does seem that we have as President an 80 year old man who acts like a 2 year old with temper tantrums
DeleteMental stability does not seem something Trump has a lot of. I never saw Reagan throw temper tantrums on television the way Trump does.
Stop with the doom and gloom! At least wait to hear what is said by Trump tonight. I am hopeful he decides to announce a beginning to drawdown forces out of that Mideast hellhole. I say, let those nations that depend on commerce through there do all the heavy lifting themselves.
ReplyDeleteWe depend on oil for many products besides fuel. Plastics, fetalizers, fabrics. Next time you have to get an innoculation in your arm or you need a new shirt for work, you are likely relying in some way on an oil tanker going through the straits of hormuz.
DeleteSadly, Trump no longer has control of the direction of this war. He can't quit, if the other 2 parties will not. He most likely can only escalate. His presidency will now be defined by this war.
Deleteanon@6:44&7:46: You mean "let those nations" clean up the.mess that Trump created. I like to be a fly on wall at the Pentagon when they discuss Trump and Hegseth.
ReplyDeleteTrump is now saying he is going to pull the US out of NATO because the Europeans didn't want to play ball with him with regards to going to war with Iran.
ReplyDeleteAlso Trump is now saying he's going to end the war in a few weeks because he achieved all of his objectives.
We never have had such a lunatic in the Oval Office in our history and it will take generations to recover from this....
