Bob Smith thinks that he and Ryan Mackenzie won Tuesday night. In reality they got passes, because they were unopposed in the primary.
Their chance to win won't come to November, and I'd put it at slim to none. None for Bob Smith, because Ce-Ce prevailed against a Latina in a Latino district. Last time I checked, Bob was way too white and red for the 22nd state district. Mackenzie on the other hand has a better chance, which I would put at slim.
Mackenzie's chance is slim because he is docile in regard to an increasingly unpopular president. Bob Brooks pulled off the primary against Ryan Crosswell by pretending to be a blue collar guy. There will be a lot of money spent in the coming months polishing the myths about both Mackenzie and Brooks.
This is deeply disturbing and racially divisive. I would highly recommend redacting and revising this defaming article immediately.
ReplyDeleteRivera@11:10: I just got a note from Bob Smith around the same time complaining that the post is racist. Are you the Rivera related to Bob? I assume that your referring to my quip that Bob's too white? Lighten up (or is that racist?) Tiburcio beat Smith in the Special election. Ce-Ce beat Tiburcio in the primary. I think that puts Bob in a None chance, and being white, red or pink won't help him.
ReplyDeleteI believe that an implication or accusation of racism isn't something that should be lightly levied, especially just to help a political campaign. The Spanish radio station was saying that Latinos should make "history" and elected the two Latina women running...was that racist against the white candidates?
DeleteWe don’t just call people racist so loosely to help any campaign you sound ridiculous. Yea Victor is very racist himself, he was caught being racist to black people. No one forgot about that. It’s insulting to the Latino community when he props up an unqualified Latina just to say it’s representation. Robert Smith is the only choice in this race for real representation. You shared this to try to gain credibility but you have none.
DeleteJackie Rivera@10:19: I never questioned Bob's qualifications, but opined that IMO he doesn't have a chance, and explained the reason for my conclusion. Better candidates lose elections all the time. There are elements in the Allentown Republican circle who are very aggressive against those who don't agree with them...that is a trait you might want to avoid.
