Since I revealed yesterday in a comment that I studied in Jerusalem, I will fess up to recently taking a self refresher on archaeology in Istanbul. If you have an interest in the post biblical era, Türkiye is about as close as you might want to be now, but even there Trump switched planes to fly out of that country.
Erdogan and Türkiye continue to profit from being the safest place near the Middle East. Even though he occasionally rattles the saber against Israel, Trump hinted about selling him F-35's. Erdogan takes defense seriously, he even gave the NATO delegates Turkish made revolvers as departing gifts.
Trump seems to be still searching for an exit strategy from Iran. He doesn't seem to have any working knowledge of diplomacy, nor are any of his sycophants so equipped. MAGA is still defending him, but they're leaving the red hats at home.
Evidently, you believe you have that certain working knowledge of international diplomacy. Why not lay out all of us your better way forward for America?

Direct foreign investment is the talk that walks the walk. Feeling don’t figure into the bottom line.

The midterms traditionally swing against the party in power, this trend may play out but hat doesn’t mean that the Democrats are not anything more than a coalition of clowns, grifters and wackaduddles.
Improved relations with other countries you ask? Most other countries of the world have been living as parasites on the backs of American taxpayers. Now that our own nation’s PRODUCTIVE citizens have been ‘tapped out,’ it is necessary for America to change the metric.
ReplyDeletePresident Trump is working hard for the citizens of his nation (you and I) to make this critical change. Trump has the courage and conviction to say “No more!” What other recent president has stood up in this way?
Improved relations, as I define that condition, is the responsibility of those other nations, NOT this nation. When other nations and their taxpayers take on more personal responsibility for their own wellbeing, and stop being parasites on productive people living here, only then will I acknowledge that relations have been improved.
I wouldn’t change President Trump’s methodology in dealing with other nations in any way. So, again I ask, “What are your suggestions?”
