Roman emperors distracted the masses with entertainment in the Colosseum. Trump tries to distract MAGA with cage fights and the IndyCar race through Washington.
I saw on Facebook Dr. Oz with Trump praising how great the race was. I couldn't understand how people voted for Fetterman instead of Oz in 2024. Considering Oz's silence about Dr. Trump's childhood vaccine recommendations, Fetterman was the way better choice.
Trump is campaigning more in the primaries than I expected. I suppose it is the equivalent of the thumb up or down in the Colosseum. After the midterms, we'll see how the senators treat Caesar.

ReplyDeleteFor those of us not afflicted with TDS, when something is on TV that we don't want to watch we just turn the channel. We don't obsess over it and write blog posts about it.
Seek help.
You just don’t get it.
Deleteanon@6:00AM: Yesterday when Trump tried to eulogize Dolly Parton, he couldn't refrain from saying that she "liked" him. I suspect that you will have to "seek help" Nov. 4th.
ReplyDeleteOddly enough, I don’t let politicians live rent-free inside my head. I don’t follow their every move or statement, and I’ve lived through bad elections.
DeleteIf the elections don’t go my way in November, I’m not going to let it be the end of my world and consume me until it changes again.
I suspect that you won’t be happy no matter what the results, which is a terrible way to live.
Trump breaks things. He’s a dottering old man whose knowledge of class is limited to gold paint and script on walls. Kind of like Home Goods. What has he fixed in DC? The Reflecting Pool? The Kennedy Center? He got his plane nearly fixed, but had to be rescued. Do we have a clue what that cost? When will Congress do something? At least do something in Iran.
ReplyDeleteanon@7:29: Although I appreciate your concern for me, I have passed on some similar "anonymous" submissions.
ReplyDeleteanon@9:08: A future congress certainly should pass some oversight provision for the White House and other national monuments. I expect them to wake up November 4th.
